Curiosity, followed
by a test.

I’m Nguyen Truong Bao, a final-year Cybersecurity student at Duy Tan University in Da Nang, Vietnam.

My work connects security monitoring, network behavior, and application security. During internships and project work, I have investigated WordPress plugins, tested Linux firewall controls, and developed Python services for Wazuh alert processing.

I’m building toward penetration testing and red teaming while strengthening the defensive knowledge needed to understand the effect of an attack. I’m also interested in applying AI to cybersecurity, especially when its recommendations can be inspected and tested.

How I approach a problem

Observe. Start with the packet path, source code, logs, and system configuration. Write down what is known and what still needs checking.

Test. Establish a baseline, change one control, and compare the results. Keep enough evidence for another person to reproduce the finding.

Explain. Connect a technical observation to its impact and remediation. Keep uncertainties visible.
